Wood-fired cooking
The scent of burning wood, ancestral heat, and flavours that only fire can create.
Step 1 — Lighting
Preparing the oven
Place dry firewood and paper in the centre. Light and let the fire build for 30–45 minutes until you have red-hot embers.
Step 2 — Ready to cook
How to tell the temperature
The interior walls should turn from black to white-grey and the embers should be glowing red with few active flames.
Step 3 — Cooking
Placing your dish
Push the embers to the sides and place your tray in the centre of the oven. Rotate halfway through cooking.
Safety recommendations
- Always use the thermal gloves provided.
- Do not burn plastic, cardboard, or treated wood.
- Supervise the oven at all times.
- Keep children away from the oven mouth.
- Let the embers burn out fully before closing the oven.
